With gusty winds in excess of 25 mph, it didn’t seem like a good day to visit the lake. The weather was warm and I couldn’t resist. During the calm before the storm I finessed a few panfish with a tiny hand-tied marabou jig resembling the newly hatched midges with fuzzy antenna. While watching lightening strikes on the western horizon an osprey flew overhead. Time for me to leave but I’m anxious to return and see if my fishing companion will take up residence on the cell tower.
