On this first day of spring the familiar call of an Eastern Phoebe greeted me in the morning. The first I’ve heard this year. Perhaps, the phoebe is a better harbinger of spring than the rebel robins that have been around all winter.
Overnight, a fresh blanket of snow fell upon the landscape in northeastern Nebraska.
