Eastern Phoebe

I have been anticipating the return of the Eastern Phoebce, which perches high in a creek side treetop overlooking a field at the edge of town. Today it has returned and joins the morning chorus of robins.

Chorus frogs

Turkey vultures soar overhead and chorus frogs have come to life in the small wetland by Arbor Park.

Wings and Wetlands

Great blue herons and red-winged blackbirds have returned to the wetlands.

Common Grackle

Saw a Common Grackle in flight this morning; first of the year.
